No trip report or pics yet, but just a recommendation to go now! It was beautiful, many flowers (indian paintbrush, yellow violets, berry blossoms, phlox, and I think: bleeding heart, a small desert parsly type arrary, and many more)...The trail is a bit pricarious in places, use caution on the new rough re-routes and on the rocky areas of course. (I had forgottern my hiking pole, I would strongly recommend bringing!)  The fog banks didn't allow any ocean views this day, but every other direction was blue skies and clear for miles.

Wonderful Adam! Another side note, I didn't start up the trail till after 2pm, you might want to see what part of the day will (if) be more clear if wanting views. It took me about an hour and half to get to the top, but I did take lots of pics as I hadn't been up in a few years. P.S.-do note the obvious hard work done repairing the trail (though still more to do) - and if that yellow rainslicker is still up there, check out the name on the back :) Oh one more p.s.s. - if you stop at Camp 18, they have (or they did this weekend anyway) a free Camp 18 travel mug with purchase of a coffee!

    Have fun and be safe!

Thanks for quick report.  I had been planning on going to somewhere in the cascades today, but with all the snow this looks like a good alternative.

    Heading out there now.

    Edit:

Well, the road was closed with a gate.  Sign said the road would be closed M-Th in June/July.  Guess I'll have to try again some day.
