I camped at Warren Lake last night, and the trail up Starvation Ridge is completely melted out, including the top of the ridge at about 3800 feet. There are a few meagre snow patches on the final stretch to the lake, but they will probably be gone by the end of the weekend. Going past the lake towards Mt Defiance, the initial climb up the rocks is also clear, but you run into snow when you get into the forest. Open/exposed areas are now more melted out than sheltered areas, the opposite of how it was a while back.
Can the ridges farther west be far behind?
