So I like to just drink whiskey or scotch or whatever, it doesn't really matter.  But, here is a good recipe for people who like something a little more exciting:

    Backpacking White Russians:
2 parts Vodka + 1 part Coffee Liquer (mix ahead of time and keep in water bottle)
2 Parts Cold water, freshly pumped from the stream
Dehydrated Milk, Half and Half or Cream (enough to make two parts water, about a tablespoon per serving probably)
Mix it all up in a Nalgene (shake really hard to get the dehydrated powder mixed in) and enjoy.  Tastes just like the real thing.

Remember to rinse after use or your Nalgene will smell alcoholic.

That sounds yum ,Dan :) Now don't forget to drink your Nalgene bottle rinse-out water  http://portlandhikers.com/forums/thread/5375.aspx  Wink

With the cold weather around the corner, well, a couple corners hopefully, I bet there's some more good recipes like this, more original than hot chocolate with peppermint Schnapps ;) ?
