Eagle Creek is a very busy parking area over the weekend. On a busy weekend ther might be a risk of somebody popping a windshield to get some coins or a wallet but I don't know if thy would risk sawing off a cat. converter which would take a bit more time and would draw more attention. Admittedly there is risk and I agree with stevefrom dodge that it is not worse than any other. Just don't leave anything to invite temptation.

I have noticed that the thread regarding trailhead breakins has been very active and has covered many nearby areas. Unfortunately, the threat is there, but I think the series of postings make things sound a bit worse than they are.

Don't be afraid just use common sense.

    Andreas,
Spectacular photo!! It's obvious you know your way around a camera.

I'm looking forward to whatever else you find.

    Hi,

thanks a again to all of you for the tips.
Finally I did the Eagle Creek Tail to the Tunnel Falls and one beyond of it. It was a great day. I started at eight at the parking lot. So going to the falls, the trail still wasn't crowed. Coming back it got a little bit crowded coming closer to the parking lot.
It was a great day with great weather. I'm happy that I have choosen this trail, as it's protected a lot by trees from the sun.
I enjoyed the trail very much. When I have posted some of the photos to my web site, I'll post the address...

Only one thing I was not used to it: Snakes on the trail! What kind of snakes they are? The were black and red? Any idea?

    Thanks....

    Andreas

Probably just a Garter Snake. Did it look like this?

Wonderful report Andreas!  It's great to see one of our more well-known places covered by fresh eyes.
